Norman Brown is a busy man these days. He performs as a solo artist, while also finding the time to be in two distinct groups. You all know of BWB – That is Rick Braun, Kirk Whalum, and Norman Brown. He is also a part of West Coast Jam. That group includes Rick Braun Norman Brown and Richard Elliot. Those are two nice trios if you ask me!
Mr. Brown is currently on tour, and he will perform dates through December. Some will be solo shows, while others will include BWB or West Coast Jam.
We already covered some of the shows on other posts, so we will just link directly to them. These include the Infinity Cruise Ship in New York on July 26th. Brown will be a part of this great cruise series.
On August 31st, Brown will perform at the Cancun Jazz Fest. There are still some ticket packages available, so if you need a mini vacation on Labor Day Weekend, this might be your ticket. The Thornton Winery in Southern California has announced their concert series, and West Coast Jam will perform there on September 16th. In October, the Catalina JazzTrax Festival will be in full effect. Two weekends of music and fun on Catalina Island off the coast of California. West Coast Jam will also perform at this event.
On November 10th, Brown will perform at the Jazz Legacy Foundation 5th Annual Gala Weekend. This is an event that benefits many needy people. This is definitely a show you cannot miss. This is happening in Hampton, VA.
