Electrifying and upbeat Soul, Afrobeat, and R&B vibes are the pulse to Nola Ade’s voice and music. As the first generation of her Nigerian American family to be born in the states, Nola Adé’s refreshing Afro-Soul take on her new single together with her unfaltering faith in love seeks to bring those from different walks of life together.

Buzzing attention around Nola Adé earned her opening slots for shows with international recording artists Bilal, Avery*Sunshine, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, and Daley. Adé gained further recognition with her live performances at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show, ABC7’s Windy City Live, Fox 32’s Good Day Chicago and at the 2016 Taste of Chicago as a headliner on the Bud Light Stage. Adé released The Love Dance EP in March 2016. Her music has been featured in Afropunk, Soultrain, Rolling Out, Soul Bounce, Jet Magazine, and many more national and international publications.
Having experienced the best of both worlds, the duality of growing up Nigerian in America is reflected in her unique musical expression that blends her rollicking melodies with her approach to tackling soul with conviction. A diversity of musical flavors seeped into the consciousness of a young Adé; from the Nigerian Praise and Worship songs and Afrobeats of her parent’s homeland, the classic soul of Chicago radio, the Jazz of Ella and Sarah on rotation, to the constantly evolving popular music of today. Ade’s music and message to her passionate fans is really about honoring the traditions of the past, being unafraid of the present, and unapologetically being oneself towards creating a harmonious future.
